Our Services and Our Mission

It shall be the mission of the Cedarville Rancheria social services program (SSP) to assist tribal members in achieving self-sufficiency and family stability within the communities they reside in. Supportive services will be provided to tribal members who meet the program criteria, and may also receive referrals for outside resources. The SSP will strive to treat all tribal members in an equal manner and shall process all requests for assistance in a fair and expeditious manner,
The SSP can provide assistance through personal contact, outside referrals for counseling/ and or other related human service-related needs, and may include “temporary” financial assistance to those who qualify and meet the certain program criteria. Individual programs can assist in providing the necessary resources that can help stabilize an individual or family in crisis. This compilation of resources should enable tribal members to meet their immediate financial needs and assist in the stabilization of their family units.

Real IDs

We are trying to get all of our tribal members to get a REAL ID.
You have to have a few documents to show the DMV to get one such as:
Make an appointment (recommended) to visit a DMV field office. Provide proof of identity, such as a certified copy of a U.S. birth certificate, U.S. passport, employment authorization document, permanent resident card or foreign passport with an approved form 1-94. Present proof of your Social Security number, such as an SSN card, W-2 or paystub with full SSN. Show a California residency document, such as a rental or lease agreement, mortgage bill, utility bill or employment, medical or school document. An original or certified copy of a name change document, such as a marriage certificate or divorce decree, may be required.

Burial Assistance

The maximum allowable payment for burial/ funeral costs per tribal member is currently $2500. Any costs above and beyond that amount shall be the responsibility of the family. A $100 gift card for the funeral meal will also be given to a designated family member, one per burial.

Grants

The Cedarville Rancheria Grant Writers Department is responsible for seeking and writing proposals for nonprofit grants. Our duty is to recognize tribal and local needs, wants and future endeavors and seek grants based on them. These grants provide assistance in areas such as Environmental Protection, Tribal court, social services, transportation, economic development, etc. We team up with other members from other departments, tribes and reach out to the community to better understand what we can look for to better our surrounding local areas, fellow native communities and in house tribal needs.

Low Income heating and energy assistance

Direct Assistance - Tribal Funds

Direct assistance was designed as a once a year financial assistance to help meet rent, utility costs, food, etc., and other “necessary” needs to enrolled tribal members who are not otherwise eligible for assistance from other agencies. Currently, the program is restricting payments made payable to vendors only; therefore, no cash assistance will be given. This resource was also designed for tribal members who may reside out-of-state or out of the jurisdiction for LIHEAP.
Requirements for direct assistance are:
1) verification of tribal membership;
2) submission of the Direct assistance application;
3) submission of the bill of your choice for payment.

Current maximum allowance is set at $1,000.00 with assistance limited to twice per year. Items typically ineligible for payment would be: personal cell phone or phone bills, cable or satellite TV bills, criminal fines or related costs, attorney’s fees, etc.

Applicants who may have already received assistance through contingency / Emergency funds administered through the Cedarville rancheria, shall be ineligible for Direct assistance for a period of one (1) year.
